// OPENING //

KORA

KORA arrived on the scene in late July, the latest venture from Beaufort House, and has already established itself as one of West London’s most captivating new dining spots. A mix of well-heeled locals and curious foodies have been quick to secure a table, eager to experience Executive Head Chef Sasha Ziverts’ fresh take on Mediterranean cuisine. The menu is elegant but never timid: delicate crudos of Yellowtail Kingfish and Red Mullet lead into smoky Dry-Aged Short Loin, Whole BBQ Turbot and sizzling Saganaki Prawns—each dish designed for sharing. Drinks come with their own pizzazz, from the crisp, refreshing Kora Spritz to the Agio, a vodka-and-lychee creation crowned with a wisp of smoke (trust us, it’s one for the camera roll). Inside, olive tones and pared-back textures create a mood that feels more island retreat than city restaurant, offering a welcome escape from the London rush. It’s easy to lose track of time here—especially with Stefano and his team’s effortless hospitality—he’ll likely encourage you to order the Semifreddo al Miele, and you should let him. This feather-light, honeyed finale is truly worth every bite. KORA

Pauline Karpidas x Sotheby’s

This September, London plays host to one of the art world’s most dazzling moments: the unveiling of Pauline Karpidas’ legendary collection. A true Grande Dame of 20th-century collecting, Karpidas transformed her London home into a Surrealist wonderland—an imaginative sanctuary where Magritte conversed with Dalí, Warhol with Picasso, and whimsical commissions by Les Lalanne turned everyday life into fantasy. Now, Sotheby’s is opening that private world to the public with an immersive exhibition from 8 September, ahead of a landmark auction running 17–19 September. Across 250 lots—valued at £60 million—masterpieces by Hans Bellmer, Max Ernst, Yves Tanguy, Leonora Carrington, Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons will share space with fantastical furniture crafted for Pauline by Claude and François-Xavier Lalanne, Mattia Bonetti and André Dubreuil. Designed by the creative force behind Sotheby’s blockbuster Freddie Mercury show in 2023, the exhibition promises to transport visitors into the magical, surreal heart of Karpidas’ London home. For cultural travellers, it’s a rare chance to step into the dreamscape of a collector whose life was lived among masterpieces. Link here.

Papilla by Kim Lim

If you haven’t yet heard of Kim Lim, you soon will. As one of Asia’s most trusted names in scalp health, she’s finally arrived in the UK. Already a leader in science-backed hair regrowth across Asia, Papilla’s London launch marks a bold new chapter, and a win for anyone serious about tackling hair loss for good. Founded in 2019, Papilla was born from personal experience and a mission to create lasting change in hair wellness. More than a clinic, it’s a philosophy of confidence, care and results. At its heart is the signature Qi Flow Scalp Revival (a ten-step treatment that marries traditional Asian techniques with advanced European technology). It doesn’t just treat the root causes of hair loss; it calms stress, restores balance, and reawakens both scalp and spirit. And yes, it’s also an indulgent 90 minutes where you can drift off—only to emerge brighter, lighter, and feeling better! Papilla by Kim Lim

Colbert x Colefax & Fowler’s

Summer Terrace

This summer, Colbert on Sloane Square has teamed up with luxury textile house Manuel Canovas to reimagine its iconic terrace. Known for its classic brasserie spirit, Colbert now blooms with Manuel Canovas’s signature florals and rich weaves, transforming the terrace into a riot of colour and style. Think vibrant awnings, plush seating, and timeless French elegance, all designed to transport guests from London’s streets to the boulevards of Paris. The collaboration marries two worlds of refined taste. Canovas draws from exotic travels and antique archives, while Colbert channels the golden age of café culture. Head Bartender Gia Zarandia completes the experience with limited-edition floral cocktails like the Porto Tónico and Daisy Spritz, best sipped under the striped awnings while watching Chelsea life drift by.
